Program Support Assistant (Caregiver Support Program/VISN Centralized Eligibility Team (CET)

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provides operational support to the CET members and perform the full range of clerical, business, and administrative duties that ensure an efficient and effective PCAFC review process. Handles numerous requests for information such as status of reports, suspense dates, etc. for matters requiring compliance and similar information on behalf of the CET. Ensures accurate, timely and consistent entry of information into appropriate databases(s). Assist the team to ensure the secure transmission and receipt of documents needed to make eligibility, tier level, discharge, and appeal determinations for the PCAFC comply with VHA privacy rules. Acts as timekeeper for CET and back up to CMO office, maintaining time and leave records as needed and directed by position supervisor. Responsible for adpac duties and PIV sponsorship for caregiver team and support of CMO office Collects and categories of all personnel workload and fiscal reports, as required by the program and as directed by position supervisor. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Qualifying specialized experience is defined as:
Ability to operate a variety of standard office and VA computer programs and data bases to include Microsoft Office suite products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, SharePoint. Knowledge of general office procedures including filing systems, VA correspondence formats, and clerical practices. Respond orally and in writing to customer inquiries regarding programs, policies, procedures, and methods. Negotiate with internal and external customers. Organize wide array of work and track deliverables, projects, and deadlines. Note:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
