The 401k Sales Consultant is responsible for the overall development and retention of new 401(k) plan services business within the geographical area under his/her control. Much of the role will be presenting 401(k) plan services new and existing BenefitMall payroll clients, as well as brokers, CPAs and other prospects for these services.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements:
Respond to and follow up on leads generated by payroll sales representatives within the prescribed time.aintain client and prospect information in the SalesForce computer database administered by the company
Develop and manage relationships with payroll sales personnel and other referral sources within the assigned territory
Develop and manage relationship with Broker District Managers, BSEs and BenefitMall brokers within the assigned territory
Develop and manage relationship with CPAs in conjunction with the local payroll sales team assigned to that CPA within the assigned territory
Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contacts, especially managing personal time and productivity
Assist clients with plan setup, design and provide ongoing support, including employer and employee meetings
Physical requirements include sitting, frequently speaking and hearing, and occasionally standing, walking, bending, crawling, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 25lbs.
Occasional long, irregular hours.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Required Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience in Investment programs
Experience in Retirement Plans
Willingness and able to travel, as needed
Math and reasoning skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and in group situations to internal and external clients
Required Experience
Associates degree in Business or Marketing required; Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing preferred; and three to five years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Series 6, 7, 63 license strongly preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
