us F/T STAFF ASSISTANT- Performs routine clerical and secretarial support to the department staff.
In addition, answers the telephone and greets the general public as well as providing support in gathering data and processing departmental mailings.
Handles typing/word processing, copying, filing and answering the telephones for department.
Interacts with the general public and may assist with sending of applicable notices and mailings and assists in maintenance of departmental filing system as well as records retention and destruction program.
General knowledge of modern business practices and procedures.
Organizational skills and ability to answer telephones, take messages and greet visitors in a professional manner.
Knowledge of word processing is a plus.
Ability to deal courteously and firmly with the public.
Possession of a valid Florida's Driver's License.
A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Background checks, fingerprints, drug screening and physicals will be conducted.
Entry $17.
394/hour.
