1K a year The Tampa Bay Rays Communications Department is seeking a Social Media Specialist with working experience in the field.
The ideal candidate will develop, publish and optimize content across the Tampa Bay Ray's Social Media Portfolio (Tampa Bay Rays, Tropicana Field and Rays Raymond social media channels).
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, ideation, creation, and publishing of content to Tampa Bay Rays social media accounts.
This includes Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and other emerging platforms.
Be a catalyst on daily social publishing and write in the defined voice and tone of team accounts.
Create, edit, and curate compelling and shareable TikTok content that resonates with our fan base.
Stay up to date with TikTok and Reels trends, challenges, and features to ensure our content remains current and appealing.
Assist in scheduling and implementing a daily/weekly/monthly social media calendar.
Work closely with our in-house Creative team (consisting of videographers, photographers and graphic designers) to ensure a continuous flow of platform-optimized content.
Support the other Social Media Specialist in the day-to-day content publishing on social media platforms and ensure channel best practices are being met.
Provide real-time coverage of Tampa Bay Rays games and community events to create reactionary, in-the-moment content for our social media channels.
Monitor relevant social conversation around the Tampa Bay Rays, MLB, and the current global landscape and lead community management efforts to continue engaging with and growing the audience.
Recognize and react to real-time, emerging trends and current events to create content for distribution across social channels.
Work with the partnerships team to develop successful partner-affiliated social media content as well as execute, track and report analytics of campaigns and sponsorship executions.
Communicate and collaborate with league office on sponsored activations and content.
Help nurture and grow our micro and macro-level influencer list.
Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to coordinate content initiatives and creative.
Develop analytical reports to evaluate social performance and make recommendations for maximizing fan engagement.
Assist with other duties as necessary.
Required Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in social media, marketing, communications or related field.
3
years of experience managing social media accounts.
Experience with Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and X/Twitter and corresponding reporting/analytics.
Must also have a pulse on emerging social platforms.
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and create unique social content for TikTok and other social content platforms.
Ability to effectively communicate content needs to a talented creative team through detailed and timely briefs.
Strong storytelling/copywriting/copyediting skills with the proven ability to write for social media.
Experience working in the Adobe suite of products including Photoshop and Lightroom.
A creative mind, deep understanding of social trends and a passion for connecting with fans through innovative and entertaining content.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure and tight deadlines.
Communicate and collaborate with league office on sponsored activations and content.
Basic knowledge of MLB and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
Potential for occasional travel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
