Petersburg based company focused on growing leafy greens in our proprietary shipping containers to provide nutrient dense greens to our local community.
We are seeking Farm Support Specialists on a full time basis to support all areas of leafy green and herb farm production.
The FSS works under the direct supervision of the Farm Manager within the Farm Operations Team.
Job
Responsibilities:
Learn to properly take care of the plants and maintain the farm containers Reset the farms for each new crop cycle- including harvesting, cleaning and transplanting Learn how NFT growing systems work and get exposure to climate control software Monitor the plants as they grow from seedlings to full size and learn to spot/scout for potential plant issues Some prior growing experience either in hydroponics or other methods preferred Food handling/food safety experience preferred Ability to follow instructions Inspecting crops to ensure they are not damaged Cleaning your work area Follow safety rules Lifting up to 25-50 pounds Wear Personal Protective Equipment where required Maintain good personal hygiene and dress code Maintain and follow Food Safety standard operating procedures at all times Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards Punctuality and good attendance Must be able to stand 8-10 hours to perform daily duties Positive attitude Ability to pivot task priority per direction Must be detail oriented Ability to complete repetitive tasks Schedule Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:
