Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a talented and organized Programs and Communications Coordinator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating various programs and initiatives while also spearheading communication efforts of these programs across multiple platforms.
Must have a curiosity for our community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage programs and initiatives in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, and other program activities.
Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including newsletters, press releases, and social media posts.
Manage and update content on the company website and social media channels.
Monitor and analyze program effectiveness, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants, vendors, and partners, ensuring excellent communication and customer service.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of programs and communications strategies.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance program outcomes and communication strategies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience in program coordination and/or communications roles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with communication packages.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Experience in the nonprofit sector or a similar mission-driven organization is preferred but not required.
