Site Coordinator, School Age Programs

Site Coordinators needed to provide a safe, fun and educational environment for YMCA Before-and-Afterschool Program participants. Must be able to manage large groups of students and have knowledge of school-aged programming. Strong communication, supervisory and organizational skills.Primary
Responsibilities:
Plans weekly program of activities that include implementation of YMCA CurriculumDirects supervision of all staff in center which includes daily guidance and assistance with staff evaluationsProvides appropriate discipline and direct management of all children according to written policyAssures activities are safe and fun for staff. Actively facilitates activities with childrenEstablishes positive rapport with parents, staff, school faculty and school principalEffectively maintains all school and YMCA equipment, supplies and inventoriesMaintains records and data on each child and employeeCollects fees and implements site budgetMonitors, completes and submits all attendance requirements for site to the Regional DirectorAttends all staff meetings and training sessions, including state mandated coursesMaintains cleanliness & organization of school site and YMCA facilitiesEffectively handles all emergency incidents that occur in YMCA program, using mature sound judgmentMaintains YMCA standards for School Aged programs, as well as state licensing and central agency requirementsPromotes and markets ALL YMCA programs, encourages family participation
Qualifications:
Minimum 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED and completion of all mandatory child care training MODs. Must also have six early childhood credits from an accredited university or hold a CDA, CDA equivalent, or Directors' credential. Minimum one year experience in a before or after school setting. First Aid, CPR & AED required.Part-time schedule, approximately 34 hours/week. Must be available Monday-Friday, 6:
