As an independent contractor, you apply your clinical expertise in the evaluation and diagnosis of medical and conditions to support a Veteran's disability claim.
As a certified medical disability examiner, you gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations.
You develop a medical opinion of likelihood that the Veteran's condition is related to their military service.
The timely and expert examination assures that a Veteran's claim is heard and dutifully processed by VBA.
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice - Master's degree in Nursing or related field - Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the chosen specialty area (e.
g.
, Family, Adult, Pediatric) - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and performing medical procedures such as spinal taps, airway management, dermal fillers, etc.
