This position is one of the most important functions in the health delivery system and the first point where contact is made personally or by telephone.
The person will receive the patient and direct them to the services needed.
Some job duties include:
schedule appointments for direct walk-in patients and emergencies as per established policies and procedures.
Answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate staff.
Register all patients per registration protocols and collect all documentation.
Review and verify patient coverage of insurance, scan insurance cards and request insurance authorization as needed.
Collect deposits or co-pays/deductibles per established policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations.
Friendly personality with the desire to work with the public.
Must have 1 year or more of medical office experience.
Pre-employment background and drug screen required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
