00 pm The Maintenance Technician ensures the safe and effective operations of all buildings, grounds, housekeeping and utilities for all assigned properties of Empath Health under the direction of the Facilities Manager and/or the Maintenance Technician Team Leader.
Maintains constant readiness for emergency preparedness and disaster recovery as outlined in the organization's plan and as directed by Operations leadership.
Participates in emergency/disaster preparation and recovery and staff a facility when assigned to ride out a storm.
Demonstrates a commitment to life-long learning and professional development by continuously striving to increase own skills, knowledge, and technical expertise.
Position Requirements:
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); preferably 3-5 years maintenance experience in healthcare setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and a reliable, insured vehicle Must reside in close proximity to primary Empath Health work location.
Must demonstrate skills/abilities in the following areas:
Ability to write effective summaries and reports as required Good written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred What to prepare Please bring a printed copy of your resume Preferred dress code Casual (come as you are, but please be presentable) What is a hiring event?
